Grade 8 Science Focus on Physical Science 7.0 The organization of the periodic table is based on the properties of the elements and reflects the structure of atoms. 7.a Students know how to identify regions corresponding to metals, nonmetals, and inert gases. 7.c Students know substances can be classified by their properties, including their melting temperature, density, hardness, and thermal and electrical conductivity.

Prepare an instructional / informational presentation of how the Periodic Table is organized using the technology of your choice. Discussion regarding physical properties of elements as they relate to each Family of elements will be assessed for complete and accurate information presented.
