Leadership Breakfast

An invitation-only Leadership Breakfast is held the morning of the 21st Century Learners Symposium to give L.A. County superintendents, CTAP statewide directors, CTAP 11 Regional Council members, other local K-12 leaders, as well as event sponsors, an opportunity to meet.

In 2008, Timothy J. Magner, the Director of the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education was the Leadership Breakfast speaker. Mr. Magner’s diverse experience in education ranges from high school teacher, director of technology, and program manager for the Kennedy Center's K-12 ArtsEdge program for teachers.

In his presentation, Mr. Magner focused on new and emerging technologies and communication styles are redefining instruction, learning, and classroom dynamics.

Leadership Breakfast guests then joined other Symposium participants in the Exhibit Area and General Session, followed by a full day of activities.
