Digital Citizenship in the 21st Century

iTELL (Integrating Technology for English Language Learners)

The iTELL project teaches the effective use of technology tools to implement research-based strategies in support of English Learners. A Google Earth Lit Trip - See Paris with Madeline

Combine the resources of Google Earth, the Internet, and state-adopted materials to create a Google Earth Lit Trip. Using the Madeline storybooks, participants learn how a Lit Trip uses place markers, paths, and image overlays to highlight the locations referenced in literature to support ELA concepts.


MatrixMath: Engaging the Digital Generation

MatrixMath is used primarily in mathematics intervention classes.It consists of instructional guides, Numericon movies, and student feedback via podcasts. Movies are viewed on iPods, Zunes, other MP3 players and cell phones. Students who previously would not participate in learning difficult mathematics showed a genuine interest to try again using these "cool" technologies.
