Description

Teachers Think computationally!

This one-day workshop gives you full access to all 2018 UPDATED Code.org materials for Courses A though F. The Computer Science Fundamentals PD is designed to bring computer science into classrooms through coding at no cost.  A personal laptop or tablet is not needed but always welcome.

This event is open to all teachers, administrators, TAs, technology and computer teachers/coordinators, and parent volunteers from any school.  You will learn how to teach online and "unplugged" computer science lessons with confidence and introduce them into your classroom immediately. Most of our attendees have never taught computer science before.

Join other teachers in your area for a hands-on intro to computer science, pedagogy, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching.  Code elementary school curriculum can also help students succeed in other subjects as well; a recent research study by Outlier Research & Evaluation found that 3rd–5th-grade Code.org classrooms with resourceful teachers see higher scores on English, math, and science standardized tests.
